Denovix CellDrop Cell Counter Assays™

DeNovix provide a range of reagents and assays for cell counting and viability testing using the CellDrop.

  • AO/PI Viability Assay for CellDrop FL, 300 Assays
Acridine Orange (AO) / Propidium Iodide (PI) assay for cell counting and viability. AO is a nucleic acid-binding fluorophore that is cell membrane permeable and suitable for selective staining of nucleated cells. PI is a nucleic acid-binding dye that is impermeable to live cells and suitable for staining dead, nucleated cells. All live, nucleated cells fluoresce green due to AO, dead, nucleated cells are stained with both AO and PI and fluoresce red.

    • CAT# CD-AO-PI-1.5
    • Components 1.5 mL @ mix of 5 ug/mL AO+ 100 ug/mL PI in PBS
  • Acridine Orange Dye for CellDrop FL, 300 Assays
Acridine Orange (AO) Dye for total cell counting. AO is a nucleic acid-binding fluorophore that is cell membrane permeable and suitable for selective staining of nucleated cells

    • CAT# CD-AO-1.5
    • Components 1.5 mL @ 10 ug/mL in PBS
  • Propidium Iodide Dye for CellDrop FL, 300 Assays
    • Propidium Iodide (PI) dye for viability assessment. PI is a nucleic acid-binding dye that is impermeable to live cells and suitable for staining dead, nucleated cells.
    • CAT# CD-PI-1.5
    • Components 1.5 mL @ 100 ug/mL in PBS
  • Yeast Viability Assay Kit for CellDrop FL, 300 Assays
    • Fluorescein Diacetate (FDA) and Propidium Iodide (PI) for yeast cell viability testing. FDA is a cell viability probe that is membrane-permeable to live yeast cells. Inside a live cell, FDA is cleaved to give fluorescein by the action of intracellular esterases. Propidium Iodide dye for viability assessment. PI is a nucleic acid-binding dye that is impermeable to live cells and suitable for staining dead, nucleated cells. Live cells are reported by FDA in the green channel, dead cells by PI in the red channel.
    • CAT# KIT-CD-YEAST-1.5
    • Components 1.5 mL PI, 1.0 mL FDA, 20 mL PBS buffer
  • Trypan Blue Viability Dye for CellDrop, 300 Assays
    • Trypan Blue (TB) dye for brightfield viability assessment. TB is an azo dye that is excluded from cells with intact cell membranes, only staining non-viable cells. The trypan blue assay is used to assess the number of viable cells present in a cell suspension.
    • CAT# CD-TRY-1.5

  •  Brightfield beads for CellDrop FL and CellDrop BF, 50 samples.
    • CAT# CD-BRB-0.5
    • Components 0.5 mL @ 1×106
  •  Fluorescence Beads for CellDrop FL, 50 samples.
